RBLI Terms and Conditions of Gym Membership

1.     The member has read and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Membership (*Terms and Conditions) as varied from time to time by the Company.

2.     This agreement commences once you have indicated your acceptance in the Declaration section of the web/App sign up process.

3.     It is important for you to note that you cannot cancel your Advanced Paid Membership during the minimum 1 month or 3 months’ or 6 months’ period, other than in the exceptional circumstances set out in these terms and conditions below and at the discretion of the company. However, you shall be entitled to cancel your membership the earlier of: (1) 14 days after the date of purchase; or (2) the day before the date on which you selected your daily membership to activate. If you cancel during this period, you will receive a full refund. After this period the membership fee is not refundable.

4.     The Company reserves the right to vary and revoke these Terms and Conditions from time to time and in addition to make, vary and revoke any bye-laws which it may consider necessary or desirable for the regulation of the internal affairs of the Gym and the conduct of members and their guests. Any such changes will be notified to members and, until revoked, are binding on members.

5.     This agreement, including these Terms and Conditions, shall be governed by the laws of England and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

6.     The Club reserves the right to reject an application for membership, or refuse admission, without giving any reason for doing so.

 

Limitation of Liability

1.       The Company cannot be held responsible for any services or equipment not being available for whatever reason. The Company reserves the right to make alterations to the type of facilities provided, without notice and in its absolute discretion and the Company shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations except in so far as such loss is by law incapable of exclusion.

 

2.       It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that they are capable of undergoing a routine of exercises that is self-determined or provided by any programme, which the member follows, or class, which they attends. Members accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any programme or class.

 

3.       The Company accepts no liability for loss or damage to property of members or their guests nor for injury to members or their guests on the Club premises or in the car park except in so far as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

 

4.       Property stored in lockers provided by the Gym is stored at the owner’s risk and the Gym will accept no liability for loss or damage in respect thereof.

 

 

Categories

7.     The following describes the various categories of membership and payments;

(a)      Subscription Fee. A fee payable by all Members on an 2, 3 or 6 monthly basis.

(b)      Individual Membership - Available to individuals of eighteen years or older

(c)      Tariff Charge - A fee payable for the use of certain Club facilities.

(d)      Full Membership - This entitles a Member to use all the Club facilities, subject to paying current Tariff Charges.

Joining

1.       You can complete the sign up process either online via the app, website or in the gym with a member of the team.

 

2.       You must confirm that you are at least 18years old and you have read, and will abide by, the Rules and Health Declaration.

 

3.      Upon completion of your sign up process, you will receive a confirmation email from us, containing information on how to download our App to obtain your QR Access Code/and or PIN and your membership starts immediately.

 

Access Codes

1.       Your QR Access Code/and or PIN is issued solely for your use and you must not let any other Member or non- member use your QR Access Code/and or PIN to access the Branch.

 

2.       You are responsible for keeping your QR Access Code/And or PIN secure and confidential at all times.

 

3.       In the interests of the safety and security of all our members, use of QR Access Codes/PIN are monitored and individuals may be asked to provide proof of identification.

 

4.     If we have reasonable grounds for believing that you knowingly provided your QR Access Code/and or PIN to another individual or individuals, or allowed unauthorised entry following your entry to the gym (e.g. tailgating), we may hold you responsible for the conduct of such individual(s) while at such branch and liable for any loss we suffer as a consequence of that conduct.

 

Paid in full memberships

1.       You cannot cancel a 2-month or 3 month minimum membership; it will expire automatically without notice.

2.       You cannot freeze your membership on a fixed term membership.

 

Gym Opening Times

1.     Details of operating hours and availability of facilities may vary between from time to time. Notice of any significant variations or permanent changes to opening times will be given by the Gym to its members with one calendar month's notice. Opening hours where possible will be consistent from week to week with the exception Bank Holidays, Easter Sunday and the Christmas period when the hours may vary.  The gym will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

 

2.       All fitness/supervised facilities will close fifteen minutes before the gym closes. Members must exit the Gym and changing facilities by the closing times listed in the Gym.

 

Gym Facilities

1.      All Members must complete a pre-exercise questionnaire . Members and guest are not advised to undertake strenuous physical activities without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. The Gym reserves the right to refuse access to the fitness facilities to any member or guest if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.

 

2.       Members and their guests must notify the Club of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued use the of gym facilities.

 

3.       Members and their guests should not use any piece of gym equipment without prior instruction unless they feel confident to do so. Members and guests should always ask a member of the Club’s team how to use new or unfamiliar equipment.

 

4.       Members and guests using the gym are requested in the interest of hygiene to wipe down each item of equipment in the gym after use.


Coaching and Personal Training

1.     All Personal Training is controlled by the Gym and should be arranged with its knowledge and consent. Personal Training is undertaken by qualified trainers appointed by the Gym and no other personal training is permitted.

 

 

Lockers

1.       It is your responsibility to bring your own padlock to use the lockers.

2.       For security reasons and the benefit of other members you must ensure that all lockers are emptied at the end of each visit.

3.       All lockers will be checked and emptied at the end of each day. If any contents remain we will retain any belongings for four weeks after removal after which we reserve the right to dispose of the contents in a responsible manner. We will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

 

Safety and Hygiene

1.       In the interest of safety and hygiene, no crockery, glass or food are permitted in the changing rooms or gym areas.

2.       No pets (with the exception of guide dogs) are permitted in the buildings or grounds.

3.       All lost property found on the premises should be handed to a member of the gym team. Items will be held by the Gym for no more than six weeks and then donated to charity.

4.       Cars must be parked in the marked areas only and must not block service roads or emergency exits. They may not be parked or left at the site overnight.

 

Smoking and or Vaping

1.       Smoking and the use of vapours is prohibited in all areas of RBLI premises, including Gym areas, changing facilities/toilets and café area (and external seating areas).

 

Photographs and Videos

1.           You must not take photographs or videos of any other members without their express consent. You must get this consent before photographing or videoing any other member.

2.           You must not take photographs or videos in a changing area or toilet area.

3.           We may ask you to stop taking photographs or videos and delete them as appropriate.

4.           Subject to the provisions set out above you are permitted to take photographs or videos of yourself for your own personal use only.

Social Media

1.           We operate a safe environment for our staff and guests. As part of that safe environment we ask all guests to use social media in an appropriate manner, having regard to other individual’s privacy.

2.           Any use of social media identifying our staff or our guests or revealing their personal details will be taken as a serious breach of these terms and conditions and may result in your membership being terminated.
